“Finally today is the last day of school!” Lilly said as she walked with her arms in the air.

“You guys want to come over to my place for hang out later?” Kathy asked.

“Sure.” Bothe Heather and Lilly said.

“Hey Lil, my brother asked me something weird yesterday, he was asking me if you ever ask or say anything about him.” Kathy told her.

“Like what?” Heather asked.

“I don’t know, he just asked me. It was pretty weird.” Kathy said.

Lilly didn’t say anything; she just smiled and continued walking in silence.

“You’re quiet. What’s up?” Kathy and heather knows something is up and she’s not telling them.

“Nothing, I just want to walk in silence. Besides the weather today is very cold. I don’t have my lip gloss with me; my lips are drying up so I can’t talk much.” Lilly said.

“Don’t worry I got extra in my locker, it’s like yours, so problem solve.” Heather said. Kathy smiled at her smart idea.

Lilly frowned instantly; she knew her idea of avoiding wouldn’t work. She was still trying to think of ideas to avoid telling them that she might have feelings for Keith. She did always find him cute, good looking and charming. The thing is that he is almost 24 and she’s still in high school. The last year of high school and off to college. She is still very scared that she and her 2 best friends will be going to different colleges.

They finally reached their lockers and Heather took out the lip gloss and hand it over to Lilly.

“So spill now, tell us what’s up. We know you’re hiding something.” Kathy said.

“Em, I have to go to the restroom before the class start.” Lilly quickly ran to the restroom before they could say anything.

“Okay, we have to plan something to just make her spill it out later.”Kathy said to Heather. “You plan something, you’re always the one with the plan.” She continued.

“Why do I have to plan? Oh well, we’ll just grab hold of her later during recess.” Heather said.

“Okay I’ll have a class with her before that so I can get her and we’ll meet by our locker.” Kathy said.

The time passed very quickly surprisingly. The recess bell finally rang and Lilly was sitting beside Kathy, she quickly grabbed Lilly’s hand.

“You’re not going anywhere, you’re coming with me.” Kathy said to Lilly.

“Why?” she asked.

“You got some confessions to do and it’s not in the church, it’s by our locker.” Kathy said to her.

“Fine, I’ll walk.” She laughed at Kathy’s statement and finally agreed to follow Kathy.

Heather was already waiting at her locker, she was checking the time on her Guess watch.

“Finally you’re here.” She said when she saw the girls walking towards her. Kathy was still pulling Lilly towards the locker.

“Fess up girl.” Heather said to Lilly while acting like a cop questioning his suspect.

“I’ll take when we go to your place later.” Lilly said. “Will Keith be at home later, cuz I want to make sure the house will only be the 3 of us and no one else will hear about what I’m gonna tell you guys.” She continued.

“Keith will be out, he’s going to be at my dad’s office for the whole day and my mom is at work. So no one will be home.” Kathy said.

“Is it about a boy or school or your parents?” Kathy asked.

“I’m not saying anything now. We’ll just meet at my car after school okay?” Kathy told them.

“Yeah sure. Oh by the way, next week the school is going to have the annual winter end of the year party. So there are posters and sign up forms for performers or volunteer to help plan the party.”Heather said

“So you signed us up?” Kathy asked her.

“So what will be doing?” Lilly asked.

“I’m going to plan the whole thing, I have this great idea of decorating the whole place with the best decoration and Mrs. Bell said I’m in charge of the whole thing. So I’m going to be your boss. We’ll probably have to come back to school to decorate the place and you 2 are performing.” Heather said and she knows they would get mad at her for signing them up to perform without their consent.

“WHAT?!” Both Lilly and Kathy said.

Heather smiled but she knows it will be a great idea. She secretly invited 2 talent scouts to attend their school party. She likes it when both of her friends sing, she knows they got talent and they’re not showing it to the public.

“Fine, just this time.” Kathy said.

Lilly had performed before so it wasn’t a problem for her but it would be the first time for Kathy to perform in front of a live audience.

“By the way, you both are performing individually and then performing a duet together.” Heather continued telling her plans for the party.

Kathy’s jaw dropped. This was too much for her, she actually has stage fright but would love to perform on stage. She did try it once in a diner and it didn’t work out well for her, she ended up wanting to puke and she had to get off stage instantly. It was one of the most embarrassing moments in her life.

Lilly saw Kathy’s face going pale. “Breath breath breath!” she told Kathy while patting her back.

“You’ll be able to do it Kath; I have full confidence in you.” Heather said.

“I’ll have a deal with you. You perform and I’ll treat you dinner for the whole week.” Heather said to her, she felt a bit guilty after seeing the look on Kathy’s face.

“Deal, just because I know you’re feeling guilty and I need to sit right now.” Kathy said. She was still taking in deep breaths and trying not to faint. She was holding onto her locker.

“I’ll practice with you; we can go to my place for rehearsal. I got a proper room for all the music related stuffs.” Lilly offered.

Kathy was feeling a bit better. She was still trying to take it all in but she still think it was too much.

“So we have to sing some Christmas songs and some other covers of people’s song right?” Kathy asked Heather.

“Yeah, you can even sing your own song. I love your songs. Maybe you can sing like 1 or 2 of your songs. That’s not too much to ask for right?” Heather said to her.

“Fine, I’ll do it for you.”Kathy said with a smile.

The bell finally rang and they all went to their respected classes. After school, Kathy was already waiting in her car for the girls. They went to get some junk food and went to get their Pizza orders before they went back to Kathy’s place.

After Kathy parked her car at the garage, she locked the car and took out the house keys, her keys have her favorite keychain on, it has her name specially made for her from her mother. The girls helped carried some food while she opened the door, after they went into the house, Kathy set off the house alarm system. They set the food on the table and Heather went to her Panasonic speaker where Kathy had left her iPod, she turned on the iPod and played a playlist which Kathy had made. The song “My boo” by Alicia Keys and Usher was playing. Kathy went to the kitchen to get some glasses for their soda.

They finally sat down and had their meal and started chatting.

“So confess now.” Kathy said to Lilly.

“I don’t know how to tell you this.”Lilly said to them. “It’s about a boy” she hinted them.

“Oh is it Michael Bryant?” Heather asked. “He looks cute and the way he looks at you is like he has a crush in you.” She continued.

“Oh maybe its Josh Parson, he’s got cute eyes and great hair. I see you eyeing him sometimes.” Kathy said.

“No and no” Lilly said after hearing their theories.

“Then who is it?” both Heather and Kathy asked at the same time.
Lilly took another bite of her honey garlic chicken pizza and chewed it slowly making the girls wait.

“Come on chew faster and tell us already!” Kathy said feeling a bit impatient.

“Okay okay.” Lilly said. “It’s Keith.” She finally confessed. She was hoping for a gasp from the girls but instead they asked more questions without gasp.

“Is it Keith Downey from Biology?” Heather asked.

“No.” Lilly said but feeling a bit confuse with her friends reaction.

“Oh sweetie, do you mean Keith Urban. He’s way out of you league plus he’s already married with Nicole Kidman.” Kathy said it looking gullible.

“What? No.” Lilly laughed at what Kathy said. Heather looked at Kathy giving her a look.

“Who is it then? We know his first name is Keith but which class is he from?” Kathy asked.

“He’s not from our school.” Lilly continued.

“Okay so he’s not from our school and his name is Keith.” Heather said while taking a sip of her soda.

“He’s older; he is still studying just not at our level.” Lilly gave more hints to her friends.

“This is hard, we have been talking about this for a while and we still don’t know who he is.” Kathy said.

“Just tell us already.” Kathy continued.

“Fine, It’s your brother” Lilly quickly hid her face.

This time the girls gasp their jaw dropped instantly. Kathy covered her mouth and Heather dropped her pizza on her plate. Lilly knew their reaction would be like that.

“Hold on, you mean you have a crush on my brother?!” Kathy asked but still in deep shock.

“Uh huh” Lilly mumbled while her head still being hidden.

“Well your brother is kinda cute and cool” Heather told Kathy.

“Awww, you have a crush on my brother? That’s so sweet.” Kathy finally said without being shock anymore but instead she was happy about it.
Lilly slowly lifted up her head and looked at Kathy. She was glad her friends didn’t mind about her crush.

“Please please don’t tell anyone about it.” Lilly pleaded them.

“Sure we won’t” Heather ensured Lilly.

“When did this all started anyway?” Kathy asked.

“Few years back but the other day I am sure I have a huge crush on him.” Lilly
started blushing.

“Wait the other day, do you mean when you both were acting strange when I can out of Kathy’s room?” Heather asked. Lilly nodded her head.

“What happened?” Kathy asked.

“Remember I told you guys I wanted to go to the bathroom, and I did. So when I was done and opened the door, Keith just happened to be outside and was about to come in so we bumped in to each other and we were facing each other on the floor. I blushed. Then it got a bit awkward.” Lilly told them.

“OMG! Sounds like a TV drama.” Kathy said.

“So that’s why he asked me those questions about whether you asked anything about him or not. I was very confused when he asked me that.” Kathy told them.

“He probably has a crush on Lilly too or he’s just a bit embarrassed about the situation.” Heather said.

The girls cleaned up the dining table and after than they went into Kathy’s room. They went to her balcony in her room and sat there. Kathy was playing her guitar while Lilly sang along and Heather always enjoy when they do this and occasionally she would sign along or be Lilly’s backup singer.

“I getting nervous thinking about the date this Saturday” Kathy told the girls.

“Your date would be fine; it’s your dream anyway. It’s a dream come true for you.” Lilly said to her.

“I know but what if it turns out to be something bad like he’s suddenly not interested in me. You know he did say before that he like blonds.”

“Well he has been trying to find you and he was the one who came up to get your number.” Lilly reminded her.

“I guess so.” Kathy said.

“Isn’t he in Spain, I wonder if he got you anything from there like some cool Spanish jewellery.” Heather said.

“That would be asking too much but it would be very sweet.” Kathy said with a huge smile on her face.

Now Heather just put thoughts in her mind, will he buy her a gift or something nice, but then again it would only be their first date and it would be too early to accept gift from him, If he did and she accepted he would just think she’s desperate.

Suddenly there was a knock on Kathy’s door.

“Hey Kath, are you in there?” Keith opened the door.

“Hey, I thought you’re going to be at dad’s office for the whole day.” Kathy said to him

“Yeah well, it got really boring there so I decided to some back to see if you want to go for a movie with me.” Keith told her.
When he came in closer into the room, he finally saw Lilly sitting there.

“Hey girls.” He greeted them.

Lilly didn’t looked at him, he didn’t actually look at her too, he wasn’t sure if it was still awkward between them or not.

“So you guys want to go for a movie?” he asked them.
Kathy looked at her friends to see if they want to go or not.

“Sure!”Heather said and Lilly had to agree with them too.

“Okay, I’ll wait for you all at the car.” Keith told them. He walked out of the room and went to the car.

They both could see that Lilly was reluctant to go with them.

“Oh come on, it will be fun.” Kathy said to her.

“Okay.” Lilly said.
They all got ready and went downstairs to the car.

The car ride was rather silence but luckily it was a 15 minutes drive. When they got there, Keith went to buy the tickets while the girls went to get popcorn and some other food.

They went inside the theater and found their seats, both Kathy and Heather had planned to sit together and let Lilly and sit with Keith, when Lilly finally realized what they had planned it was too late to change their seats already as the movie was starting.

Lilly gave the girls a mean look but they ignored her and gave her a clueless look. Keith didn’t mind. He seemed like he enjoyed sitting next to her, he had a secret smile on his face which the girls didn’t notice.

Just as Kathy wanted to silent her phone, she received a message.

“Hey, I can’t wait for the date on Saturday. – Ryan”

She smiled when she saw the message and after reading this message she lost her doubts about him and was excited about the date too.
