“This is going to be a very long week. It’s only Tuesday. Uggh” Kathy complained to her friends. This time with Heather was here with them. She has been away for some family business trip to Europe. Her parents want her to take over the family business when she’s ready so they’re training her now.

They walked down the hallways of the school, while Lilly was filling Heather in on what has been going on. They couldn’t call her while she was in Europe, her phone didn't work well there.

“Oh so you met your hot guy huh?” Heather said as she eyed a new guy. “Oh he looks hot.”

“Focus here, Heath. I’m having a crisis or something here.” Kathy said. “I don’t know if I can wait that long.” She continued complaining.

“Okay stop.” Lilly demanded. She turned to Heather “You have see a lot of HOT guys in Europe and now it’s time to listen to Kathy for a while.” Then she turned to Kathy

“And you have to stop worrying too much. We’ll help you get through this week. Okay?” The two girls went silent and just stared at Lilly.
Lilly then took a deep breath and smile and continued walking. “Come on girls, we’ll be late for class if you don’t hurry up.” The two girls just looked at each other and smiled.

“Okay mom, we’re coming.” Kathy teased her.

“Ha-Ha very funny. Come on,” Lilly said.

The girls went into their chemistry class and the new guy was there too. They could see the look on Heather’s face, she was in love again. She’s probably going to have another broken heart by next week.

“OMG, he’s in this class too, wonder what his name is.” Heather whispered happily to her two friends.

Both Lilly and Kathy looked at each other and know what she would do next. Heather walked towards the new guy started to introduce herself, while Kathy and Lilly went to their bench. They turned their head to the back to see Heather and the new guy. They tried to eavesdrop too.

“So I’m really not sure what to do with these apparatus.” The new guy said.

“Well it’s pretty easy, the steps will be given on the question paper and Mr. David will give it to us later.” Heather explained to him. “So Jeremy, what other class are you taking?” she continued.

“I’m taking Biology too and history. I’m also taking social studies.” Jeremy continued. “And some other subjects too.”

“Wow, I almost have the same subjects with you. I’m not taking social studies though but I’m taking business and economics thought.”

“Cool. You’re cute you know that?” he smiled and looked at her in a way like how a predator lures in its prey. Lilly and Kathy can see that but usually Heather is the one who breaks up with the guys.

Heather was enjoying her Chemistry class and usually she would just sleep through the class. The class went on and they had to do some experiments. Kathy and Lilly can do well in their chemistry and it’s one of their best subjects. Their main priority is their education and they’re hoping to get into a good collage.

As they walked out of the lab, Kathy and Lilly quickly went towards Heather, they wanted all the juicy details of the new guy.

“So how was the new guy? What’s his name?” Kathy and Lilly both asked.

“Jinx” They both said it again.

“Double jinx”

“Triple Jinx! You own me lunch!” Kathy quickly said.

“Shoot!” Lilly said. “Anyway, what‘s his name?”

“His name is Jeremy and his father just got transferred here so he’ll be here for the whole year.” Heather said.

“You guys looked cute and smitten by each other.” Kathy remarked.

“Well, you see we got chemistry and I don’t just mean our class.” Heather said with a cheeky smile on her face.

“Very cute. So are you guys gonna have history together?” Lilly asked.

“Oh yes we will.” Heather smiled.

“Hey, Heather.” Jeremy came up to her.

“I was just wondering if you’re free tomorrow night. We can go bowling.” He continued.

Heather Smiled “Yeah, I’ll be free; we can meet at the bowling alley.”

“Okay, I’ll see you then and it’s a date.” He smiled as he walked away.
The three girls looked at each other and smiled. Both Kathy and Lilly know she’ll be busy for the next week with Jeremy.

“Heath, you just came back. Can you just at least spend time with us, I know you’re gonna be busy hanging with Jeremy from now on.” Kathy said

“Okay, I’ll spend time with you girls. We’ll come by your place after school and just hang and talk.” Heather said.

“Good, we can order pizzas later and my parents will be out tonight but Keith will be home.” Kathy said

“Oh, Keith is back in town?” Heather asked.

“Yeah, He’s gonna be here for about a week.”

“I haven’t seen him in a while. That will be nice.” Heather continued
Lilly just smiled there when she heard Keith’s name being mentioned.

“It’s always a party when Heather’s back” Kathy said as they were walking towards their lockers.

“I know, I’m always the one who makes this place alive.” Heather said.

“How do you manage with your time? Party, work and school?” Lilly asked her.

“I don’t know. I guess I’m just mentally trained.” She smiled.

“You’re amazing you know that? “ Kathy said to Heather.

“Aww, I know” She gave Kathy a hug and they all laughed.

“Wonder if Ryan’s in Spain already?” Kathy said while checking the time on her phone.

“Sweetie, we’ll help you get through the week.” Lilly said to Kathy with her had on her shoulder.

Kathy couldn’t help herself from not thinking about Ryan. The whole day her mind was filled with Ryan only.
