“What’s up with you Ryan, you look very happy these past few days.” Casey asked.

Casey is one of Ryan’s best friends. He knows him very well and they’ve been through a lot together with their parents’ divorce and girls’ problems.

“Ryan?” Casey punched him on his shoulder.

“Hey, what the heck?”

“I was talking to you and you didn’t respond, so I just want to see if you’re still alive.”

“Very funny. Ha-ha!” Ryan replied with sarcasm.

“So what’s up with you?”

“There’s this girl I bumped into.” He finally answered Casey’s question. “She looked cute and pretty.”

“When did that happen?”

“I think it was 2 days ago, while I was out for dinner with Steve at Pizza port, I bumped into her, literally.”

“Seriously?!” Casey was very excited to hear the rest of the story. “What happened next?”

“I wanted to see her again, luckily her friend told me where they would usually hang out, and so I tried my luck. I was lucky enough to see her, I manage to get her number and I just asked her out just now.”

“Wow, So another hot blond for you huh?”

“Nope, she not blond”

“Whoa, dude.” Casey was shocked to hear that. Ryan had told him before that he will date hot blonds only, but now it’s a huge change for him.

“How are you attracter to her, I thought you only look at blonds.”

“We’ll there’s just something about her. She just got my attention for some reason.”

“Awww,Ry-Ry is in love.” Casey teased him.

“Stop it Casey.” Ryan threw a pillow on the couch at him.

“What’s up guys?” Tony asked as he walked into the living room.

“Ryan met someone hot and he is falling for her.”

“Ooh, someone hot, huh? Can I date her?” Tony teased him.

Tony in another one of Ryan’s best friend. The girls he dated are always hot and he has already dated lots of girls.
Ryan ignored both of them and went downstairs to his room to start packing for his trip tomorrow. He walked down the stairs and suddenly his phone vibrated, it was text message. He took it out from his pocket and he was very surprised to see a message from Kathy.

“Hey, Ryan just wanted to wish you good luck in your skate video and have a safe trip. Can’t wait to see you this Saturday – Kathy:)”

There was an instant smile on his face, now he doesn’t want to leave for Spain but he knows he has to and it’s part of his job. He couldn’t wait till Saturday.

“Yeah, he totally just asked me out during dinner but I didn’t tell my dad about it.” Kathy told Lilly on the phone, they have been talking for almost an hour already.

“This is amazing. I bet you were totally blurred out after the phone call. When are you gonna tell your parents? I bet Keith has already guessed who it was.” Lilly talked on and on . She knew she had to bring Kathy out to shopping and get ready for the big date.

“Lilly, once again, I don’t need new clothes. I’ve already got nice ones and I don’t think I need to dress to fancy. I can just either wear my sundress or my plain Ts and a pair of comfy jeans.” “Oh yeah I texted him just now, just to wish him luck in his skate video and I also told him that I can’t wait to see him this Saturday.”

Lilly gasped and Kathy could hear it very clearly on the other end of the line. “Why did you do that now he’s just gonna think that you’re desperate to go on a date with and maybe now he’s gonna second guess about asking you out.”

“Oh Lilly please don’t make me regret, and now I’m worried cuz he hasn’t texted back yet, oh great!” “Oh, hold on, I just got a text, let me check if it’s him.” Kathy put Lilly on the speaker phone while she checked the text. When she saw it, she sort of, screamed a bit.

“What is it? Is it him?” Lilly quickly responded when she heard her screamed. “What did he say?”

Kathy scanned through the text then read aloud to Lilly.

“I was so happy to see your text, thanks for the luck and I can’t wait to see you too this Saturday. Till then, sleep well, sweet dreams and good night. :) Ryan” She read the text over and over. She had expected the text but not with such sweet words, well at least in her mind these are sweet words that will defiantly give her sweet dreams.

“Well, I was wrong, he did not second guess at all and he defiantly is interested in you.” Lilly said.

“See, I’m gonna sleep well after all. But the thing is that I don’t know if I can sleep at all after seeing this text.”

“Well weather you can sleep or not, I’m tired. I’ll see you at school tomorrow.” Lilly said as she yawned.

“Okay then, good night. See you tomorrow.” She put down her phone. Just as she put down her phone, Keith walked in. “So it was him huh?” He asked her pointing at the poster she has on her wall. She nodded her head and smiled. It was her favorite Ryan Sheckler poster.


“He just asked you out huh?” Keith asked, being a concerned brother, he wanted to make sure his sister will be safe.

“Yes!” She somehow screeched and Keith wrinkled his forehead. “Sorry, it’s a girl thing.” She laughed trying to explain the ways of how girls act when they’re excited.

“Okay then I’ll probably never understand.” Keith said as he went over to sit on Kathy’s bed.

She moved her diary, pen and laptop away from her bed. Her room was beautiful; the walls are painted with Royal purple color and the alphabets of her name “KATHERINE” was put across her headboard. Her bed is always covered with her favorite maroon coloured blanket which was given by her grandmother.

At her side table, there’s a beautiful classic lamp which was given to her during her 16th birthday. She pulled her cardigan tight and went under her blanket. Keith looked at the look she had on her face.

“So is he a good guy? Make sure he comes to meet dad or me first okay.” He keeps going on and on to Kathy about what most guys want and the way they think about girls.

“I’ve dated before you know and I’m sure he’s a great guy. I’ll assure you that whatever happens I’ll let you know.” She told Keith while putting her had on his shoulder.

He smiled. “Okay, then, but I’ll be here for about a week so anytime you need me I’m still here.”

“It’s late and you got school tomorrow. You better sleep now. Good night kiddo.” He kissed her on her forehead and gave her a hug.

“Okay BIG BROTHER. Good night. Love you.” She hugged him back.
